Captain Billy is dead. Jim takes the document from the pirate's sea chest and hides with his mother. Meanwhile, the pirates break down the door to the inn and seek the document. They find the dead captain and search him. But since he doesn't have the document with him, they turn the whole inn upside down and destroy everything. They eventually find Jim and demand the document from him. Just at the right moment, however, soldiers appear and the pirates flee. The soldiers bring Jim to Judge Livesey to report on the robbery. Jim also gives him Captain Billy's document. Mr. Trelawny, who is also present, is over the moon with excitement. It's the famous Captain Flint's treasure map, and the pirates were what was left of his crew. However, Mr. Trelawny does not intend to take Jim on a treasure hunt. He wants to get a ship in Bristol and together with Dr. Livesey going on a treasure hunt.
