Hikaru's mother Terumi, who works as a manga artist, is chosen to draw one-shot manga for a magazine with the hopes of getting serialized. As Hikaru and the others decide to help Terumi out as her assistants, Terumi's editor pushes her to draw a romance manga, feeling sci-fi or fantasy, the genres she excels at, won't sell.
