Hana recalls how, due to an unfortunately timed case of the mumps, she was forced to miss all of her high school entrance exams. Having to wait an entire year before she could enroll in high school, Hana moved in with her cousin Shion KyÅzuka to make a fresh start in a new location. As the girls eat their lunches together, most of them get to exchange some personal gossip about their families. Later, Hana pushes herself to survive through a fitness test, before she and the others find an ice-cream vending machine next to the gym.
