Alice dreams about her mother, Sharon, maid to Duke's mother when Duke was young. Viola notices their mother is angry they missed Christmas dinner. Zain sends Cuff shopping alone after Viola criticised him for his habit of doting on her. Cuff manages the shopping but almost injures a young pickpocket, forcing Zain to revert to his habit of saving her.
