Liu Maoxing has completed his culinary training and is on his way back to Guangzhou with Meili and Shirou. On their journey, they arrive in a town with a prospering poultry industry and are saved from their hunger by chicken restaurateur Tia. There they discover her pitch black chickens. Tia explains that they are the birds of misfortune that killed her older brother. Upon seeing the chickens, Mao makes a decision.
