As the battle intensifies, Söma and Subaru fall back to assist the other Steel Saints in time to rescue only two of them, Kerry and Emma. Soon after, they are attacked by Loge and are forced to retreat once Söma is injured. Surrounded by the enemy forces, Söma and the Steel Saints work together to break Loge's siege, before Söma finally kills Loge. Their victory is short-lived when a final bee kills Kerry, who sacrificed himself to defend Söma.
