The story is focused on Takuma again, first introduced in Episode 14. Takuma is suspected of having murdered his mother and wounded his father, but has not been arrested due to lack of evidence, since the real culprit, Kakinuma, disappeared. The townspeople ostracize him, deeming him "the devil's child". Takuma meets a young girl, Seri, whose house was torn down to make way for a train station...
