As the war with Grandiga rages on, Joshua still refuses to inform Yūki about it. In order to give themselves an advantage against Grandiga, Harlant invents a new type of Tseurgear energy source called Chrars and Joshua is chosen as the test pilot. With it Harlant initially had the advantage against Grandiga during their next battle, until they turned the tides using their superior tactics. Grandiga corners Yuni, but Joshua manages to save, though he gets heavily injured in the process...
