Chise discovers a small, golden dragon-like Kaiju in her room who responds to her commands, which she names Goldburn. While Chise ponders about what to do with Goldburn, Futaba Senda has a meeting with Yume and Yomogi. Yume reprimands Futaba for not being at her sister's side when she needed it and falls into despair, just when Juuga takes control of another Kaiju. Yomogi attends to Yume's request to join the others ahead of her but Gauma sends him back to pick her up...
