In the Demon Realm, Ariel prepares to attack the Elf Village. Meanwhile, Shun's party camps out whilst traversing the labyrinth. Unable to sleep, Shun is told by Basgath about how he once encountered Nameless, who is now known as the "Nightmare of the Labyrinth". Finding themselves at a crossroads, with time being of the essence, the group opts to follow a short but dangerous route through the Nightmare's former home. This leads to them being attacked by an earth dragon but they are able to beat it...
