PLOT
The vivacious Narumi Momose finds herself late for her first day of work at a new office after snoozing all four of her alarms. She makes a commitment to herself as she runs to catch her train that she will keep her dark secret—that she is an otaku and a fujoshi—from her coworkers. However, when she encounters Hirotaka Nifuji, a former classmate from middle school, her plan immediately goes haywire. She tries to keep it a secret by asking him out for drinks after work, but her plan is discovered when he casually inquires about her attendance at the forthcoming Summer Comiket. Fortunately for her, the only witnesses were otaku as well—Hanako Koyanagi and Tarou Kabakura. The two go out for drinks later that evening to catch up after all their time apart. Hirotaka advises that Narumi try dating an otaku like himself after she laments that her previous lover broke up with her because he wouldn't date a fujoshi. He solemnly swears to support her, be there for her constantly, and assist her with Monster Hunter's rare drop farming. Narumi promptly accepts the proposal after being stunned. Thus, the adorable awkward romance between the two otaku begins.
