PLOT

Tanuki and Tengu tribes have been living in Kyoto for many years, coexisting with people who are unaware of their presence. Yasaburou Shimogamo, the third child of a powerful tanuki family, spends his carefree days caring for an elderly tengu, studying people with his shape-shifting skills, and interacting with the enigmatic Benten. The head of the tanuki community, Yasaburou's father, was slain and eaten by a group of people known as the Friday Fellows, which is what lies behind the peace and tranquility. The Shimogamo brothers' struggles to prevent their own horrible deaths while getting closer to discovering the truth about their father's death are followed in Uchouten Kazoku.
