PLOT
Akane Mizuno, a member of the track team, and aspiring writer Kotarou Azumi end up in the same class for their final year of junior high school since a new school year brings a new group of students. Even though they were initially total strangers, a few fortuitous encounters ignited an innocent longing. As fate pulls their paths together, the telltale signs of young love—a yearning glance and a fluttering heart—slip into their lives. Kotarou and Akane learn that although while love is compassionate and patient, it is not always easy. Despite the solace they get in one another's companionship, following the emotions in their hearts is accompanied by grief and anxiety. The path ahead is unpredictable due to the ambiguity of how the other genuinely feels and the conflicting feelings of people close to them. Nevertheless, Kotarou musters the confidence to ask Akane a single question that will permanently alter their low-key relationship beneath the brilliant light of a lovely full moon.
