PLOT
A mysterious flash occurs in the year 2019 AD and instantly renders almost all human life dead. Senku Ishigami, a 15-year-old genius, is unexpectedly resurrected in April 5738 and finds himself in a world where all signs of human civilization have been destroyed by time. The human species has been trapped in stone for 3,700 years. Senku establishes a base camp and starts researching the dead people to find out what caused it and how to fix it. Senku's friend Taiju Oki wakes up throughout the course of the following six months, and he or she tells Senku that nitric acid was what allowed them to survive. They make a substance that will enable them to instantaneously revive others after making this discovery. In order to recreate civilization with a concentration on science, they start by reviving a well-known martial artist named Tsukasa Shishi and their classmate (and Taiju's crush) Yuzuriha Ogawa.
