PLOT
Suzune Miyama has spent the majority of her youth bedridden due to a weak heart. Nevertheless, she has always wished to become a celebrity, despite her illness. The seventh Selection Project, a grueling series of contests best known as the origin of renowned idol Akari Amasawa, presents her with her chance eventually. Suzune participates in the Selection Project's initial round, nervous but enthusiastic. Although Suzune's singing impresses the judges and her fellow contestants, she regrettably freezes up in the middle of her performance due to nervousness. She bounces back swiftly, but the misstep cost her the victory and she is eliminated. Or so it seems—that is, until the girl Suzune lost to says she's quitting the Selection Project because she thinks Suzune is a better singer and should be allowed to participate. The choice surprises Suzune, but she assures Seira that they will reunite as leading idols. She gets ready for the difficult challenges that lay ahead.
