PLOT
Episodes 1-3 of the total five episodes from the video game Phantasy Star Online 2 were adapted for television. Additionally, some original anime content will be produced. Episode 1: The player and fellow ARKS student Afin were ambushed by evil creatures known as Darkers while taking their qualification exam on the planet Naberius. The two then learn the truth about Naberius and the recent uptick in Darker activity, as well as about a mystifying girl who has lost most of her memory. In Episode 2, the action centers on the player and Matoi as they work to uncover a sinister plot involving the history and motivations of ARKS. Episode 3: The peace between the Shironian and Kuronites who live on the planet is shaken by the sudden onslaught of the Kuronites, bringing a new quest into the fray with the discovery of the planet Harukotan. The newly-reformed ARKS is charged with looking into the cause of it all, and it appears that the reality is both frightening and more convoluted than anticipated.
