PLOT
The Taishou era lasted 25 years rather than 15 as originally planned. A young woman decides to wed an unnamed man in order to preserve her dwindling family. The girl's younger brother, however, unexpectedly committed suicide by self-immolation just before the wedding was set to take place and was discovered with an ancient book in his hands. The "Imperial Library Intelligence Asset Management Bureau," also known as "Fukurou," appeared before the perplexed young girl. These men assert that there are books called "Maremono" that have a profound impact on their readers. She also unknowingly develops the capacity to perceive "Auras" since the incident involving the girl's younger brother (the sentiments of the Maremono which manifest as bright lights and are usually invisible to humans). It appeared as though fate was attempting to engulf the small girl in its raging blazes. And after that, the girl decides to leave her bird cage despite her fears. Hatred, contempt, compassion, and love. The girl was in for a surprise as the darkness of betrayal, which had already started to bewitchingly inlay the imperial capital, awaited her. Will the little girl ever learn the truth after all her trials, or will she remain toyed with and persuaded within that darkness?
