PLOT
A clan of Japanese warriors with a highly specialized, magical skill emerged during the Edo period. The skill was the ability to deliver a sword stroke that could reduce a woman's breast size, and the clan was known as the Manyuu. This might not seem like a skill that could control an entire region, but in Manyuu Hikenchou, big breasts are a sign of rank, fame, riches, and power. The Manyuu clan is very worried about Chifusa's behavior because he was picked as their successor. Chifusa has not only abandoned the clan but has also taken the sacred scroll that contains the Manyuu's methods for growing and severing breasts out of disgust at the breast-obsessed culture that it helped to create and maintain. Chifusa, fortunately, is not wholly alone. Kaede, a fellow fighter, is sympathetic to her cause; nevertheless, this sympathy could put her in grave peril. Chifusa must protect her life and Kaede's while trying to repair the harm their brethren have caused to the land because they are now desired by the very clan who reared her. Along the journey, Chifusa will come to realize that she possesses a power that is well beyond the boundaries of her education and that it has the potential to mold and transform the nation to which she aspires to bring equality.
