PLOT
With the exception of his mostly-decayed father, Kitarou is a youkai boy who was born in a graveyard and the last surviving member of the Ghost tribe. His left eye is absent, although his hair normally fills in the space. He campaigns for harmony between humans and youkai, usually by defending the former against the cunning of the latter. The popular Gegege no Kitarou series from the late 1960s was based on the original Hakaba Kitarou manga, on which this adaptation of the Kitarou tale is based.
