PLOT
An office worker named Johnson lives a monotonous and routine life in the distant future. He is advised to visit the Trip Movie Corporation, a business that enables its customers to experience a dream as though it were real, by his robotic butler Ben one Sunday morning. Johnson requests to lead a battlestar and rule a harem. Johnson, however, takes on the identity of "Cobra" in his dream, a hero who journeys across space with Lady Armaroid, an android companion. Cobra fights creatures and the Pirate Guild, an organized crime group of pirates, with the Psychogun, a bionic arm-laser gun. Cobra permits the Guild's leader Captain Vaiken to flee following a conflict with the Guild. Vaiken makes Cobra a wanted man by passing along Cobra's image to other pirates. A waiter is astonished when Johnson reveals his fantasy to him after his dream has ended because neither pirates nor the Cobra should have been mentioned in Johnson's dream. Johnson collides with a fast-moving car whose driver resembles Captain Vaiken while returning home. The driver identifies himself as Vaiken when Johnson mentions the similarity. Johnson is questioned about "Cobra," and the man makes a death threat if Johnson does not respond. Johnson lifts his arm involuntarily, and a beam emerges from his hand, killing Vaiken. Johnson's arm explodes in the shot, exposing the Psychogun that was inside. Ben observes the weapon on Johnson's arm as he hurries home. Then Johnson finds he can't recall anything from the previous three years. He finds a knob and turns it to expose a hidden area after seeing into a mirror. He discovers the revolver he used in his dream there. He is referred to as "Cobra" by armed attackers who break into the home at that precise moment. After a battle, Lady Armaroid emerges from Ben's robot shell to help Johnson kill the invaders.
