PLOT
As it is his and his subordinate's responsibility to maintain the president in a good mood, Hyd instructs Tonegawa to plan a so-called "game of death" when he starts to grow bored with his life. The story that follows is a comical account of Tonegawa's interactions with his subordinates and other characters from the Kaiji series. Tonegawa must work with his subordinates in order to please the president. In contrast to the main series, this one mostly focuses on events within the Teiai Corporation and has a lighter tone. The blacksuits have greater screen time as well because the series names some of them and follows some of them around in their regular lives. As some of the bets, like the Steel Frame Crossing, are first seen here in their conceptual stages, it serves as a prelude to the events of Kaiji.
