PLOT
In the now-chaotic kingdom of Midland, demons are now frequently encountered. Due to his demonic brand, the swordsman Guts still isn't able to stay in one spot for very long. When he was alone, he could always manage to defend himself, but now he must now defend former Commander Casca, a shell of her former self who neither remembers nor trusts him. They need a location where Casca will be secure while they figure out a means to heal her because they never get a minute of peace because of the ongoing threat of demons. The magical land of Elfhelm, which is said to be a refuge from the demons who terrorize the countryside, is described by their elf ally Puck. They continue their search for housing, exhausted and with little hope, and they still need to track down those responsible for the chaos they are made to put up with.
