PLOT
Toppa Bashin, an enthusiastic and thrill-seeking sixth grader, is focused solely on the card game Battle Spirits. To the dismay of his peers, Bashin enters school every day with excitement—not for academics, but for card combat—while wearing a ruby pendant inherited from his missing father. One day, Bashin meets J, the Battle Spirits champion kid prodigy, who is wearing a pendant like that. Bashin challenges J to a duel after seeing J in a movie. The fight he ends up in, though, is not what he expected. The two are sent to the Isekai World, a mystical arena in the sky where Spirits from the game come to life. Bashin plunges recklessly into the Isekai World, feeling as though his dream is finally within reach, and runs into other card fighters wearing remarkable pendants. He gradually understands that there is more to Battle Spirits than he ever anticipated as he advances to the top.
