PLOT

In Japan, there have never been fewer terrorist strikes thanks to an organization called Direct Attack. (DA). The gang rears orphaned girls to commit murder and carry out assassinations as part of their "Lycoris" program. Takina Inoue is an exceptional Lycoris with a passion for success and a distinct sense of direction. Sadly, she loses her cool during a hostage situation, and as a result of her disobedient act, she is removed from DA. Unwillingly leaving the only place she felt at home, she makes her way to LycoReco, a cafe that doubles as her new base of operations. However, Takina is surprised to find that her new friend is considerably different from what she had anticipated. The famed Lycoris prodigy Chisato Nishikigi appears to be hardly paying attention to her work. She drags Takina along on a variety of odd occupations under the guise of helping those in need. Takina is even more astonished when Chisato subdues several armed assailants without killing a single one of them. Because she feels out of place, Takina wants to re-join the DA, but Chisato is determined to convince her that life is about more than just surviving.
